Our next election will be a Primary Election and will be held on May 12, 2020. No matter if you’re considering being a candidate, have a desire to register to vote, need information on absentee voting or much more, you’ve come to the right source. Let’s get you started on your way to becoming a candidate or a registered voter.
Remember every vote counts, and in order to vote, you must be a registered voter. Are you registered? To see if you’re registered Click Here. If not, let’s get you registered. Please keep in mind you must register 21 days before an election to be eligible to vote.
You may apply to register to vote online, in person at your county clerk’s office, or by mail.
Register to vote at our Voter Registration facility, located at 110 West King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401. Should you need directions Click Here. Bring a West Virginia Drivers License with you or a West Virginia picture ID card which reflects your current birth date and current physical address located in Berkeley County. NOTE: An address of a Post Office box will not suffice as proof of residential address.
In the event, you don’t bring a valid form of ID don’t worry. We can still register you! Just ensure you present one of the following as proof of residency in Berkeley County; current utility bill, bank statement, paycheck, or any government document which reflects your name and physical address. Note: Without a West Virginia Drivers License or a West Virginia picture ID with you, it will take 10 days for you to receive your voter registration card.
If you’re unable to come to visit us, that’s not a problem. You may complete a West Virginia Voter Registration Application Online and mail it to us. Once we receive your Voter Registration Application it normally takes about 10 days to mail you a Voter Registration Card.
